Get ready for 2015's Multicultural week! Term 3, Week 7 from the 26th-28th of August.

This is a day where we can all come together! Nationalities, beliefs, religions and people in general.  We have the opportunity to unite as one school and embrace our cultures freely with one another. 

 

As such a diverse school, Multicultural week is such an important event in gaining a better understanding of different cultures, so that we can avoid stereotyping. 

 

Multicultural Week is for you! So participate, digest all the multicultural goodness and let's all create positive long lasting memories together.

 

The SRC have organised some super spectacular events for the 3 day span:

 

 

WEDNESDAY: Multicultural cupcakes! - indulge in a plain vanilla cupcake, with plain frosting which will be topped with a wide range of multicultural treats! (for e.g. Coconut shavings for Polynesia, Fortune cookies for China, Tim Tams for Australia)

 

THURSDAY: Cultural stalls! - Come and experience a different culture, with tahitian shaking workshops to henna and Filipino elastic street games! Stalls will be run by our enthusiastic volunteers and the SRC body in the Quad.

 

FRIDAY: Performances and Fashion Parade! - What a way to end week 7 with cultural performances from all over this beautiful Earth. Free, Live, Multicultural entertainment coming your way! With a preceding fashion parade showcasing some of the exquisite pieces our students will be wearing from their cultures! And finally the thing we all have been waiting for... Mufti! Feel free to dress up in your your own cultural dress and bring a gold coin donation.
