WEEK OF HAPPINESS
In Week 9 of Term One, we had our Week of Happines; a week to reflect, recognise and spread happiness in Macarthur Girls. We spent our week serenading each other, putting up positive post it notes in some random places, handing out free hugs and relaxing in our chill out zone. Read below for more information on our Week of Happiness.
SO, WHAT DID WE DO?
MONDAY // POSITIVITREE
On Monday we decorated our positivitree with themed messages for the week, reminding the girls of the importance of being and spreading happiness and the little things you can do to achieve it.
tuesday // singagrams
SRC girls and some talented student volunteers visited different groups of students and classes and sung to them. Despite it being wet weather, the girls didn't let the rain put a damper on their mission to spread some smiles.
wednesday // random positive post-its
Post it notes with positive messages were posted around the school in random areas - lockers, doors, whiteboards, desks- on Wednesday to share some positivity and kindness. Some of these post-its are still up now!
thursday// free hugs
Hugs are proven to spread happiness, and we were definitely feeling that on Thursday where SRC students in onesies went around giving free hugs!
friday // chill out zone
We ended the week with our Chill Out Zone in the Hall. The Chill Out Zone was full of fun activities like glitter face paint, limbo and other games (run by the SPC), a dance party on the stage, interactive wall art a photobooth and more! Pictures of the Chill Out Zone can be seen below, and take a look at the Gallery for more pictures of our Week of Happiness.
