Splendour on the Grass
Did someone say SUMMER FESTIVAL? In week 10, Friday the 12 December, The SRC are carrying out a Summer themed Festival for all students and teachers! If you like DIY Activities, getting your palms read, eating ice-cream, fairy-floss, & popcorn, listening to live music, buying some treasures, AND playing cool games, like sponging teachers, then this festival is for YOU! The best part, is that ALL of the profits made from this event will be going to Stewart House and the Paramatta Mission, to help those in need.
THE ACTIVITIES:
DIY Activities
If you're creative and love to make things, well the SRC has organised some fun workshops for you! Come along and have loads of fun participating in some of the many 'Do It Yourself' Activities that are available. From flower crowns to choker necklaces, you will walk away with new, exuberant items that can be used this summer
Games & Activities
What sounds like fun to you? How about a variety of amusing activities for you and your friends to participate in, such as: Palm /Tarrot card reading, and carnival games, with loads of prizes to be won.
Come along and take part in some of the entertaining games and activities
Food Stalls
Do you like Fairy Floss, caramelised popcorn, ice-cream, freshly squeezed juices and a delicious sausage sizzle? If yes, Splendour on the Grass will be catering to your needs! There will be a range of different festival food to indulge in and satisfy your tastebuds
Trash & Treasure Stall
Get in quick to grab some bargains! Someone elses books/ornaments could become your treasure. Please help make this stall possible by simply donating any unwanted books, jewellery and other bits and pieces (no clothing due to hygiene purposes) to the SRC.
Entertainment
Splendour on the Grass will be buzzing with the sound of music! We will be taking requests for what music YOU'D like to listen to prior to the event, so you can spend the day jamming out to your favourite songs.
Raffle Draw
The SRC will be selling Raffle Tickets in the weeks prior to 'Splendour on the Grass', and the Raffle will be drawn on the day. The prizes are going to be awesome, so keep a look out for any Raffle tickets being sold by the SRC!
Tokens
Now, you're probably wondering 'how can I be apart of SOTG?' Well, the answer is simple. This week, the SRC will be selling bundles of tokens, which will be used like money to purchase foods and gifts and to participate in all of the fun games and activities!
The tokens will be sold in bundles of 5 for ONLY $10 ($2 a token.) If you think that the price may stretch beyond your budget, buddy up and purchase a bundle to share with a friend.
NOTE: Most food combos, games and activities will only be 1 token!
